Hi
Whenever my router is reloaded it always asks me if I want to enter an
initial configuration dialog.
I type no and then I have to copy startup-config to running-config to
get it running.

How do I avoid the initial startup question so that it reads my
startup-config by default ?

thanx

It seems your config does not get saved... Try using copy running-config
startup-config

Well, I'm guessing - wrong config register? Sth like 0x2142... take
a look at your config register value and change it to default which is
0x2102.

Hi,

Your router instructed by config-register to ignore startup config. Change
the register setting:

config t
config 0x2102
exit
wr mem
reload

Good luck,
