Hi Friends,
I am trying to read data from the link layer using
linux raw sockets. I tested the program by sending loop back packets
from my computer as well as, packets from other computers on the
network, & it recieves the packets w/o any problem.
The problem that I face is that I also recieve
repetitive packets with src & dest MAC address set to 0.0.0.0.0.0, I
also get these packets when I disconnect the ethernet cable from the
other system/device.
Could U please help me in analyzing what these
packets are??? Also is it due to setting in promisious mode?
I'm using debian linux kernel 2.6.24.3
