Have a look at the source to mrouted ,
available in /usr/src/usr.sbin/mrouted if you
install freebsd w/sources.

What do you mean by 'open' in this situation? Are you referring to
the license conditions? When you asked to be provided with the
source code, you did not say anything about license terms.

the bsd source is as open as you want.

Download freebsd and install with source and you have all the
source you need.
