I have a Meridian 8x24-DS system that I lost access to Line 1.
I have tone at the terminal block feeding the connector going into the
system.
I have tried rebooting the system with no luck.
When I select line 1 the get a short pause then a busy signal and the
message "Already joined"
I am not sure what to check next.

Already joined. "You are already connected to the telephone that made the
call you are trying to pick up". How are you selecting line 1. That fault is
using pickup. Your line button is supposed to be a CO direct access button ?

I can see we are in trouble. CO is Central Office, where the lines
originate. When you press the button you think is line 1, what does the
display say ?

Also, dial Feature *0, then press what you think is line 1. What does the
display say then?
