Anyone running Unified Messaging over VPN through the internet?

We are considering adding a remote office to our IP Telephony system.
They have their own Exchange server and a T1 connection to the
Internet. There are 10 users in the office. We would connect them up
with a Cisco 2811. Local VAR is suggesting them having their own Unity
server. Wondering if they could utilize ours (we have a 5 Meg
Connection - they have a 1.5) we are connected via VPN.

Thanks.

It's Highly recommended to have unity and partner mail store(exchange
on the same lan) ,You might see delays in MWI or recieving and sending
messages ,if the partner exchange server is remote.

Thanks
