I've got a stack of 3 switchers and some by Port vlans setup. My MACS
are not able to use Appletalk I'm guessing because I am not using
byProtocol vlans. If I hook my mac up to the old switches using
byProtocol they work fine.

Can I somehow change the one VLAN to byProtocol from the current
ByPort using device manager?

I see that my other byProtocol vlans are setup to use IP, and it seems
to be working so I am thinking of changing the one byPort vlan to
byProtocol and IP. Do you think this is my appletalk problem and can
I chnage it using device manager.

thanks for any help

Hi, Ron

You can change a port base VLAN to a protocol base VLAN by Device
Manager.
Simply delete the port base VLAN and create a new protocol one as the
standard procedure of creating a VLAN on DM.
