If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options

Is it true to have two concurrent IOS releases running at the same time on the
same router?

And what to look for for documents?

No... you can load 2 or more images to the flash (if you have enough
spare flash) and boot from them alternately.
