Does anyone have the pinout for the dongle used to access the DK424's
admin? It goes from a 4-pin RJ-25 to a DB-9 I am guessing. Also, I
guess while I am at it, anyone have the software?

Here's the pinout from the DK 424 manual:

6 pin mod plug end DB25 RS 232 lead name
6 3 RD
5 2 TD
4 6 DSR
3 20 DTR
2 8 CD
1 7 SG

Jumper 4 & 5 together on the DB 25 RTS to CTS

Do you have the DkAdmin software hardlock for the parallel port?
Without it the software is useless.

Take care,
Rich

I don't have the software yet either, I just took over the maintenance
on an existing DK424 last week. Avaya and Samsung are particularly my
preference, with Nortel being on my able to do list, but when it comes
to Toshiba, I am somewhat disoriented. Any idea where I can get the
software?

You might be able to find it if you can find a dealer who is getting out
of the Toshiba line and wants to get rid of his hardlock as well as the
software. Or you might check on line for Toshiba equipment
refurbishers. The only other place you're going to be able to get a
functioning copy is from Toshiba Telecom.

You can do the programming through a keyset - IMHO that's actually
preferable for everything except DID programming or large LCR setups.
It's similar to Samsung programming in that once you learn the program
numbers for the most common programming functions you don't have to go
running for a book or setting up a laptop every time you want to make a
small change. It is definitely easier to program the keyset buttons
with keyset programming than through DKAdmin.

Take care,
