Have a Surfboard 5120 on Charter. Had a lightning strike across the
road which burnt out cards on the Charter pedestal. TV back but my modem
now has no light activity on the PC/Activity light. So far I replaced
one of the network cards on one of our computers. I have a DSL backup
going right now. My question is do you think the lightning strike may
have killed my Surfboard?

Well,
1. ask neighbor if you can connect modem to their cable to test,
2. borrow their modem for your cable test,
3. drive to Charter office, get rental modem,
have them enter into system, hook it up and if no sync,
have them come out and fix their hardware.
