For 100Mbit/s Ethernet using electrical physical layers, can I split
the physical line (after the driver and the RJ45) and observe what has
been sent to another receiver using another physical driver and
ethernet chip? Would I run into physical issues or limitations like
changing the impedance of the lines to level beyond what is tolerated
as the pure normal point-to-point Ethernet connection would be lost?
Any other issues I may encounter?

Thanks for any help, info or pointers. If the description is too
informal, please let me know?

+Michael

Now that is neat. New one on me.

Maybe I'll be having a wee chat with
our wireman.
