The details of the Qwest/Verizon cell deal seem to coming out to us
consumers. As best I can tell, other than getting a single bill, I
can see no advantage to me as a Qwest residential customer for picking
Verizon over any other cell carrier as a result of the relationship
between Qwest and Verizon. I gather that if I had more than the basic
landline service I might get some bundling discount, but I won't even
get that. And I'm losing the two reasons I picked Qwest's rebranding
of Sprint in the first place: what they call "one number service" and
free calls to the home landline number.
