Can any body please tell me about port mirroring.
Is port mirroring is handled by software programming or its
hardwired.....

The answer to your question is "Yes". Unless, that is, you are
a person who considers "firmware" to be neither hardware nor software,
in which case the answer to your question would be "Maybe."

Can any body please tell me how the router port(for IGMP Snooping
case ) is selected among all ports in a layer 2 switch

Is router port is same to root port (formed by STP)
