I've got SBS2003, VPN enabled, VPN connection works from LAN.

Firebox X500 firewall and I've setup the following rules

tcp 1723 enabled and allowed NAT from external to internal IP address
of server

tcp 1723 and ip 47 enabled and allowed any to internal IP of server

udp 500, udp 4500 and ip 50 for ipsec is enabled and allowed from any
to internal ip of server

when i VPN from the wan it starts to connect sits at verifing username
and password, then errors out and never connects. Problem has got to
be on the firebox, not sure whatelse I need to configure.
