I believe AnyConnect VPN will try to first connect via IPsec and then
attempt the connection via SSL if IPsec fails. However, as Doug
pointed out, it does not work on a PIX VPN. Cisco announced End of
Life for the PIX appliance last year...meaning it's time to fish out
more $$ to upgrade your Cisco equipment. If you're interested, we've
been using and have had a fabulous experience with an SSL VPN from
NeoAccel. They are a startup so not many people have heard of them.
http://www.neoaccel.com is their website.
