The audio didn't work !... from
this cable internet hookup on the iMac OS X 10.3.9

The video did appear.

b. how to set up for the codec?... and
c. what is the codec?... that is supported for

after clicking on the 6th item...

Theres your answer. Get rid of your Mac and
replace it with a PC, and you should solve
the problem. You probably need Media Player
10, which is not available for the Mac.

Windows is a MUST for computing existence. You
should either get Windows emulation for the Mac,
or deep-6 your Mac altogether and get a Windows
machine.
