I have a Comcast Motorola SB5101 Surfboard Cable modem that I would like
to add it to a home network and add wireless access to it for a laptop,
and computers in other rooms of the house.

I know I need a router and I read somewhere about having to clone the
Mac address of the cable modem into the router.

What do I need to accomplish this or is it even possible ??

Thanks..

Just get a Netgear or Linksys G router on sale at your local electronics
store and you should be good to go. Ignore Super-G and the like - just
get a plain G router with a 4-port switch and that'll handle 99% of your
needs for some time.
