I have a piece of hardware that I'm trying to fix. It has a
National Semiconductor DP83932 SONIC Ethernet controller in it.
It's part of an embedded controller that cost a fortune, or else
I'd just take it out and shoot it. 8-)

I'm looking for someone who knows about any undocumented,
or poorly documented, quirks with this chip. Quirks of the
"controller chip hangs periodically and has to be reset"
variety.

I've talked with NatSemi and looked at open source drivers for
it. But the chip is old.

Is there anybody out there who knows the answers?
