Scenario:

Equipment:
1 x NEW Merlin Legend Processor R7
3 x 408 GSL/LS-MLX
2 x 012
4 x 008-MLX
2 x 016 MLX
1 x Merlin Messaging 4

Problem:
Randomly when calling extentions between 640 and 649 the caller is
directed to one of the other extention mailboxes in that same range
(640-649). This can happen when calling from another extention or
calling from outside.

One particular extention seem to recieve more calls which were targeted
for another 64X extention.

Newbie with Avaya I need your kind help to troubleshoot this issue or
perhaps try to replicate the problem which I have not been able to.
(problem establsihed from reports from the users and the people calling
them on the extenstions 640-649.

We are using MLX-10D handsets thoughout the office.

If you have WinSPM have you checked the error log? Also as an FYI
there's a great Merlin forum at http://www.tek-tips.com. Some of the
forum members were Merlin techs for the company itself from back in the
AT&T days.

Thanks Gregarican, I will try Tek-tip as well. Unfortunately I do not
have access trough WinSPM since the telco who serviced the system in
the past has vanished and with them the password to log on to winspm
using dial-in.

You can plug directly into the Admin port of the Merlin and use WinSPM.
No password is required then. From there print a full system report and
it will show what the admin password is.
