Hi,

We have running in our office a Meridian Norstar 616 phone system. The
system has worked perfectly for years.

Now it seems if we experience a power cut we lose all the programming.
Not only that but two of the incoming lines have become quiet. It is a
fault of the CCU, plugging a phone directly into the BT line reveals
all is ok.

I have been advised I can replace the 1F 5.5v memory capacitor inside
the unit to cure the memory backup issue.

Has anyone any ideas what might be the cause of the quiet incoming
lines on the mainboard? Has anyone experienced this before or willing
to help me repair?

Thanks in advance,

Oliver

Replace your cap(s). One in the cartridge and one on the main board.

Folks,

For the archive

If anyone else is experiencing quiet incoming calls on a 616 (intercom
is fine) I have found the faulty components on the mainboard, drop me
an email.
