I have a CICS with 6.0 software. I would like to put Line 2 on hold for
long periods of time, so I can talk on Line 1 without interuption, if I'm
alone in the office.

I tried putting Line 2 on hold. It eventually rang back and ultimately
released itself from the CICS. I tried starting a phone call by dialing the
prefix digits, then laying the phone on the desk. Eventually, it also
cleared itself and became available.

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks.
Jim

No. It has to be an active call put in park. The timer for park recall goes
up to 600 seconds.
