I HAVE COUNTED ALMOST ANY LOCKSMITH NUMBERS IN THE YELLOW BOOK OF
MANHATTAN AREA. AND IT CAME OUT TO BE CLOSE TO 9688 PHONE NUMBERS.
I AM POZITIVE THAT THERE ISNT 10000 LOCKSMITH IN MANHHATN SO IT IS
PROBABLY A FEW LOCKSMITH COMPANIES THAT OWN HUMDREDS OF NUMBERS ...
BUT THE THING THAT I CANNOT GET AN ANSWER TO IS HOW DO THEY MANAGE TO
HAVE A DIFERENT ADDRESS FOR EVERY PHONE NUMBER IN THE BOOK.
PLEASE I AM INVASTIGATING THIS FOR MONTHS
I REALY WANT TO KNOW.

i am asking this question in this group because it is concern the phone
systems and the phone systems listings that goes to the phone company
verizon . i have a tow truck business in new york and i want to publish
around 150 phone lines over the city and i want that my phone numbers
will be spread all over the city , but i cannot place every phone line
in diferent location with a diferent address and i know that there is a
trick of how to do that please guys help me
do you have any idea how it works?

I am assuming that you would purchase the other numbers and have them
forward to the main number(s) where you have physical facilities coming
into your business. The other numbers would essentially be like phantom
numbers in a sense...

yes i know i also checked with the ph
i also cecked with the phone company but there is no one in there that
give me an answer.
what i mean is that if i want to order a phone line as a locksmith i
need to show then a tax id to proof that i have a locksmith business ,
then i need maby to show them a lease under my name for the technician
who come to install the phisical line . and then you need to leav them
$300 deposit on every line.
and that is what i need to do to every phone line that i want to order.
because only in this way my phone number will be listed in the 411
directory and in the yellow book- the two most important things for a
locksmith.
so what u r sugesting is to buy more lines
and forward them, but they wouldnt be registerd in 411 directory which
is the most important thing (im soory if i kep repating myself...).
