hi,

i need to set VPN connection


lan - D-link DI-824VUP - internet - MyComputer

i've read the manual how to ... but it only describes how to set a
tunnel between two VPN servers...

and all i want is to have access to my work lan...

A quick look at the specs and it does support IPSec/PPTP/L2TP Endpoint
connections. The easiest to get working will be the pptp, although not
as secure as the other two methods. Using the router as a pptp endpoint
terminator will let you use the client built into windows, as will the
ipsec over l2tp. You'll need to go through the docs on the router and
enable pptp, add a user that can connect, and then specify an IP address
on the local lan you can use, or a range. Then when you have done that
setup a new dial up network connection on your home PC via VPN (not
dialup)and point this at the wan address of the router at your office.
Page 38 of the manual I downloaded from here (
http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=274 ) seems to be the place to start
