Hi all,

I have a doubt about Cisco CallManager and fax.

If I want to use fax with CCM, must I have ATA 186 or 188 (and
configure them on CCM as if they were IP phones), or can I connect the
fax on any gateway that CallManager supports
(http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00803edb17.html)
?

Thank you
Alessandro

No you do not have to have an ATA. As a matter of fact fax will work
better if you run off a fxs port in a gateway.
