Solutions:
Fragmentation is no longer performed by intermediate nodes in IPv6. It is
permitted only between the originating node and the destination. There is
an Extension Header called Fragment Header that can be used to carry
information to the destination node. IPv6 specifications have
consistently called for a minimum MTU. RFC 2460 in 1998 called for 1280
bytes at a minimum. Path MTU Discovery does exist in IPv6, but there is
no longer a Don’t Fragment bit.
