We currently have multiple 12 months plus contract opportunities for a
Senior Statistician with our direct Insurance / Medicare processing
client in Columbia, SC
In this role, you'll be responsible for leading a number of efforts to
strengthen the organization's capacity to conduct research and
evaluation:
Responsibilities:
=95 Promote and facilitate collaborations with external researchers.
=95 Conduct statistical analyses using a standard statistical program
(SAS preferred)=94
=95 Provide expert advice and support to the organization's research and
evaluation activities
=95 Provide technical support to the organization's staff regarding
program evaluation, including developing logic models, selecting
appropriate evaluation focus and methods, instrument design, data
analysis, and use of results to inform project direction and
activities.
=95 Advance public health systems research
=95 Plan, coordinate, and manage project activities
=95 Manage large, complex data sets
=95 Interpret and explain research findings and project outcomes both
orally and in writing
=95 Independently design and manage project activities
=95 Establish effective working relationships with diverse groups, and
interact effectively with co-workers, personnel in partner agencies,
and other external stakeholders
=95 Effectively represent the organization in a variety of settings
This is a highly-advanced professional position that requires a degree
of specialized training and/or knowledge. The work involves
significant collaboration with CMS and the organization's internal
staff. The work also requires the exercise of extensive discretion,
sound independent judgment, and a high level of accountability.
We are not looking for SAS Technical Programmers =96 we are looking for
true Statisticians: Research Analyst, Statistician, Statistical
Analyses, Quantitative Research, Qualitative Research, Data, Research
Analyst, Statistical Analyses, Quantitative Research, and Qualitative
Research
Required Skills:
=95 At least 5-years of relevant experience (Medicare / Healthcare
experience is a big plus)
=95 Advanced knowledge of statistical methods
=95 Strong quantitative and qualitative research techniques and analysis
skills
=95 Advanced knowledge of principles and methods for effective program
evaluation
=95 Effective data management principles
=95 Demonstrated ability to independently design and manage project
activities
=95 Excellent analytical and organizational skills=94
=95 Ability to solve problems independently and participate in team
projects.
=95 Experience with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, etc.) preferred.
=95 Proven ability to document projects for successful transition of
assignments upon completion of consultant=92s contract.
=95 Excellent oral and written communication skills
